I would say, Payet apart, he's been our best player in the last eight months or so. Absolutely outstanding in some games. There are very few midfielders in the league of his type that I would swap him for.

The last thing we should be thinking about is moving him to a different position. He should be one of the first names on the teamsheet.

Even for motd that is pretty stunning. I think one of the reasons why referees get away with their light touch of the biggest sides is because of the terrible state of punditry that doesn't hold them to account.

Good grief

Had a day out at an amusement park with th ekids yesterday, so missed all this, and avoided all info so as not to ruin a great day out if the match went as I feared it may.

Pleasantly surprised to see it was oly 3-1 and sounds like the second half was enough take some pride and positivity from.

Biggest plus is reading that Lanzini is back and apparently looking as good as we could hope for.

International break comes at a good time, and hopefully we will see more of what we are about after it.

Oh, I remembered - it was arch-cunt Martin Keown.

Fuck me surely not?
If a presenter comes out with that type of gash, wrong on about every level, he should forcibly ejected from the studio and banished until Liverpool win the league - for ever

Acording to the cunt on the right on MOTD2 (I can't be bothered to remember which cunt it was), Aguero should not be banned because it won't be fair on thousands of Man U fans who will want to see him play against their team.

Mind-boggling cretinism.

We need our injured players back. It's as simple as that.

Our full-strength XI is a proper good side. The sooner we get there; the better.

The international break should help.

Kouyate started as a center half...but he's better than one..monster breaking forward, lacks the final ball.

It is frustrating that our centre backs keep hoofing it, but they clearly don't trust the midfield to receive the ball under pressure. I'm not surprised, but hopefully Bilic will see sense and know that Kouyate is not a central midfielder, he is a centre back, and his lack of technical ability gets shown up eventually. The lung bursting runs will get you so far, but you need proper footballing quality if you are to be the one central midfielder given license to go forward, he does not pose enough threat in the final third, he's not a great passer, doesn't have vision, and will not score a long range goal for as long as I have a hole in my arse.

Admittedly, that's just one of our current problems, but one that seems to get constantly overlooked because he is 6'5 and fast which catches the eye.

US, cheers, maybe it wasn't as bad as it appeared from brief highlights.

Stream was a bit iffy, did Guardiola boot a chair when we scored? Or a mike stand or something?

Lard. The problem with that is that it benefits other teams. Retro bans don't help us at all

Pep seems very petulant, like a spoilt child at times. it will be fun when they go on a bad run if aguero gets injured

The FA will surely charge Aguero for elbowing Reid, should have been a straight red. I'm guessing he'll get a 3 match ban

Spot on Mart, never should have sold Tomkins, I love and respect the passion of Slav but like all of us he makes mistakes, selling Tonks and wasting Antonio in defence are just wrong, really hope he's not as pig headed as fat Sam and learns from his mistakes, too late for Tonka but hopefully not for Michail

Why do they always say it wasn't a red when it's a big name player but someone less fashionable gets told it should be straight red?

Re: ⚽ Man City v West Ham - The Official Match Thread FT 3-1
At least we went at them 2nd half!

Best form of defence is attack, that's exactly what we did, just after 2 v 1 was the best time to get a second because they started to panic s bit, Bilic was right to bring on Lanzini and Calleri at that time!
